Ron Griffith

Bachelor of Kinesiology, Master of Counselling, Registered Provisional Psychologist

My clients say they feel very comfortable working together and they appreciate my genuine, down-to-earth and direct counselling approach that focuses on clients taking ACTION. My ability to create productive connections with clients is mostly due to my life experiences, especially my own difficult journey to achieving good mental health. I love helping my clients discover and apply new perspectives, new life skills, and new ways of being in the world so they can have more satisfying lives. Life shouldn’t only be about surviving... it should be much more about thriving!

I specialize in self-esteem, confidence, self-worth, life & career transitions, finding purpose, clarifying values, depression, anger, anxiety, stress, loss & grief, men’s issues, sex & intimacy, non-traditional relationships, sexual orientation, and gender identity. I work with adults of all backgrounds and I especially enjoy supporting people in the LGBTQ+ communities.

I also have a kinesiology degree (major: exercise physiology; minor: nutrition). I spent 17 years in my previous career supporting people's physical wellness and I live an active, healthy life. My counselling approach is integrated and holistic: I support all parts of my clients’ wellness: mental, emotional, social, physical, occupational, intellectual and spiritual.
